How does the product work?

The WAKOL PU 225 Parquet Adhesive consists of two components, which must be mixed just before use. The hardener is added to the resin, and the mixture is stirred for at least three minutes until a homogeneous mass without streaks is obtained. After mixing, the adhesive should be applied evenly to the subfloor with a notched trowel, avoiding any accumulation of adhesive. The parquet can be placed directly into the adhesive and firmly pressed down. The pot life of the mixture is 35-40 minutes, which provides ample time for careful installation. The laid floor should not be walked on within the first 4-6 hours to ensure optimal bonding.

Instructions for use

Before using the WAKOL PU 225 Parquet Adhesive, both components (resin and hardener) must be thoroughly mixed with a suitable mixing device. This mixing process takes at least three minutes until a smooth mixture without streaks is obtained. The adhesive should then be evenly applied to the subfloor with a notched trowel. The parquet should be immediately laid into the adhesive and firmly pressed down to ensure proper adhesion. The laid floor should not be walked on for the first 4-6 hours after installation. Tools should be cleaned immediately after use with WAKOL RT 5960 Cleaning Wipes before the adhesive fully cures.

Maintenance or advice

For the best results, WAKOL PU 225 Parquet Adhesive should be used at a subfloor temperature of at least +15°C and a room temperature of at least +18°C. The relative humidity should be between 40% and 65%, with a maximum of 75%. In cold weather, the adhesive must be acclimatized in the room where it will be used. Any adhesive stains on varnished surfaces should be removed before curing with WAKOL RT 5960 Cleaning Wipes, as cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
