What is Stauf VDP 130?

Stauf VDP 130 is a solvent-free dispersion primer that serves as a primer for various substrates before they are leveled or bonded with STAUF products. The product ensures a uniformly absorbent substrate, which is essential for good adhesion of leveling compounds and parquet adhesives. Stauf VDP 130 is universally applicable and suitable for use on various substrates such as concrete, calcium sulfate (anhydrite) screeds, plank floors, chipboard, OSB boards, gypsum boards without a top layer, and cement screeds. It is quick-drying, penetrates well into the substrate, and is suitable for use with underfloor heating. The primer is available in a 10 kg plastic can and has a shelf life of 12 months when stored under the correct conditions.

How does Stauf VDP 130 work?

Stauf VDP 130 is used as a primer to prepare the substrate before it is leveled or bonded. The product is applied with a roller or other suitable tool to a well-prepared substrate. When used as an adhesive primer, Stauf VDP 130 must be diluted in a ratio of 1:1 with water. The drying time varies from 45 minutes at 20 °C to a minimum of 15 hours on calcium sulfate-bound substrates in combination with cementitious fillers or dispersion adhesives. The primer ensures good adhesion of the upper layers by penetrating deeply into the substrate and optimizing the absorption properties.

Ensure adequate ventilation during drying to speed up the drying process. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for the best results.

Maintenance or Advice

Stauf VDP 130 should be stored in a frost-free, dry, and cool environment to maintain quality. The product has a shelf life of 12 months when stored properly. When used, the ambient temperature should be at least 18 °C, with a maximum humidity of 75%. It is important to properly prepare the substrate and apply the primer correctly for optimal adhesion and durability of the floor installation.
